-Utah still deserves a #3 spot after the dismantling by TCU.
-UCF is the most overrated non-AQ team in the media polls. They were 2-2 in non-conference play, beating Buffalo and South Dakota State. There best win is against East Carolina, a 5-4 team.
-Northern Illinios is the most top 25 worthy non-AQ not in. They have a BCS win and they also own a win over Temple who is receiving more votes than NIU in the coaches poll.

Notes at the Top
-The MAC has 4 schools rated in my top 15 non-AQ. Conference USA has only 2 while the SBC has zero. The MAC is pretty equal to CUSA athletically and academically. The SBC is equal to the MAC in attendance but outside of that has more in common with CUSA as both conferences share the same footprint.
-The BCS title game matchup looks like Oregon vs. Boise State. It doesn’t look like Auburn will go undefeated.
As it stands Boise has a computer rating of .800, while TCU has a very title game worth rating of .910. Once Auburn is tripped up both schools will move up in the computers. The WAC though is really having a banner year with Nevada in the top 25 and Fresno, Hawaii having solid seasons. TCU still has Utah to play which will boost its SOS but Boise has Hawaii, Nevada, and Hawaii on an SOS that is a reasonable #74 at this date and pretty much equal to TCU. Boise has been ranked ahead of TCU all year in the human polls after beating TCU in the Fiesta Bowl.
-I don’t understand why Northern Illinios doesn’t have any votes in the Harris Poll. They have 2 respectable losses against Iowa St and Illinios against a quality record of 7 wins. They are 5-0 in the MAC, one of only 10 schools still unbeaten in conference play. They have beaten Temple which has a record of 7-2 and 4 votes in the Harris poll. What more does NIU need to do to get attention?
