Monmouth 64, Eastern Michigan 63: Out-Beasted

Last night in MACsketball, just the one game:

Tough break for EMU as they tipped off the first game in the Basketball Traveler's Classic, hosted by the University of Idaho. Brandon Bowdry, known as "Beast Bowdry" hereafter, was dominating in the paint, finishing with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Unfortunately they couldn't hold a late lead and Bowdry's free throws with 2:09 were their last points of the match. In fact, there was no scoring for two whole minutes until Monmouth's daggerish three with 0:06 left on the clock. Antonio Green helped out a bit with 12 points, all on three-pointers. But with all that shooting and post presence, the Eagles are now a measly 1-4. Better luck today, perhaps.
