Clarification on "College Hockey Super League"
The more I find out about this, the more I think Miami should avoid it. Also contrary to initial reports, Notre Dame has not accepted an invitation yet and Western Michigan was not extended an invitation at this time. (WMU's invite is probably contingent on Notre Dame accepting.) However, Boston College and Boston University were invited but declined. North Dakota, Denver, Colorado College, Nebraska-Omaha and 2011 NCAA national champions Minnesota-Duluth will leave the WCHA, while Miami will depart the CCHA to form a new league, according to Brad Elliot Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald. Again I say, if the MAC could put together the financing to enable three MAC schools to startup D-I hockey programs -- they would become the conference that saved college hockey.
