Is it already that time again? I guess so. Nothing screams August like basketball news (although Georgetown would LOVE to beg to differ). So without further ado, here is Western's MAC Schedule for the upcoming year.
Jan. 7 at Ball State* Muncie, Ind.
Jan. 11 NORTHERN ILLINOIS* Kalamazoo, Mich.
Jan. 14 TOLEDO* Kalamazoo, Mich.
Jan. 18 at Eastern Michigan* Ypsilanti, Mich.
Jan. 21 CENTRAL MICHIGAN* Kalamazoo, Mich.
Jan. 25 at Ohio* Athens, Ohio
Jan. 28 MIAMI* Kalamazoo, Mich.
Feb. 1 BOWLING GREEN* Kalamazoo, Mich.
Feb. 4 at Kent State* Kent, Ohio
Feb. 8 AKRON* Kalamazoo, Mich.
Feb. 11 at Buffalo* Buffalo, N.Y.
Feb. 15 at Northern Illinois* De Kalb, Ill.
Feb. 22 BALL STATE* Kalamazoo, Mich.
Feb. 25 at Toledo* Toledo, Ohio
Feb. 29 EASTERN MICHIGAN* Kalamazoo, Mich.
March 3 at Central Michigan* Mt. Pleasant, Mich.
As you notice, not a bad schedule. No real long road game stretch. However, you do have Buffalo, Kent State, and Ohio all on the road. OUCH. Another thing to watch out for is the Ball State-WMU opener. Everyone in that game should remember what happened the last time these two teams met.
That said, it shouldn't be too hard for the Bronco's this year. Returning the core of the team (everyone except 3-point specialist Alex Wolfe) and coming off the MAC West title, we'll see how this Bronco team fairs
