With 20 seconds left in the game, Minnesota was down 28-21 to New Mexico State. As the Gophers' third down play fell short, head coach Jerry Kill went down in a heap on the sidelines.
Ten minutes went by while Kill was placed on a stretcher and is headed back to the locker room. ESPN has now confirmed that Jerry Kill did indeed have a seizure on the sidelines.
This is not incredibly surprising given the heat this game was being played in and the stress he was placing on his body throughout the game trying to bring his team back. Also, given Kill's history of seizures, this incident has the potential to have looked a lot worse than it actually was. Let's hope for minimal damage and a speedy recovery for the NIU "graduate."
