The Sentinel-Tribune is reporting that Bowling Green has been given an extension of about a week to decide whether it will join the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. The Falcons' original deadline was this Friday. In light of yesterday's news that Western Michigan and St. Cloud State would be joining the NCHC -- news that conspicuously lacked a mention of whether Notre Dame had been invited at all -- I think the most likely story is that BG is pulling out all the stops to try and join Miami and WMU in the National.
