CCHA Championship: The End Is Here

Stay connected for news and updates

It all comes down to one night.

Ok, so today is Championship Saturday. The day where we decide all 5 D-1 hockey auto-bids for the conferences, and where we get a really good look at the probable NCAA tournament. After today, there are just 15 games: the NCAA Tournament.

So let's look at our games for today. First up is Miami vs Bowling Green. Miami is coming off a disappointing 6-2 loss to Western Michigan while Bowling Green is coming off a double OT loss to Michigan in the night game after leading 2-0 in the 2nd. Bowling Green is just playing for 3rd, while the RedHawks still can fight for seed position in the tournament.

The Title game will feature Western Michigan vs Michigan. Michigan is going for their 12th CCHA title and their first since 2010 while WMU is going for their 2nd, the only title coming in 1986. This should be a fairly packed house, as UM fans only show up for the Title game, and WMU fans will be out in full force again.

The first game starts at 3:35, join in the fun.

The second game starts at 7:35, and will be on Fox Sports Detroit.
