Whenever a Mid-American Conference team cracks the AP or coaches poll top-25, rarely does it occur at the beginning of the season. Rather, it's only after one of our beloved Hustle Belt squads has run off a string of wins (anywhere from 6-8) do voters begrudgingly start placing them on their ballots.
Not in the BlogPoll Top 25! The pollsters see you, Ohio U. It only took all of two weeks for BlogPoll voters to show the Bobcats some love.

SB Nation BlogPoll College Football Rankings 2011
Well, well, well. After coming in at 26th last week, Ohio U. breaks through at No. 25. Whether or not the Bobcats stay there is another story. Not only is our Hustle Belt voter going through wild swing votes, two teams - Arizona and Tennessee - are 23rd and 24th despite not having a single vote last week. And UCLA jumped 21 spots, going from 41st to 20. The takeaway: it's early.
No other Mid-American Conference teams received votes this week. Maybe I'll slide Ball State into No. 25 after the Cards beat IU on Saturday.
