Analyzing this week's BlogPoll Top 25

Stay connected for news and updates

Thanks to everyone for chipping in on Tuesday's post, and by everyone I mean only the proprietor of this fine site. We'll be posting twice a week for the remainder of the season, as explained here. Personally, I did not make any changes based off feedback although it probably looks pretty bad that SB Nation's Mid-American Conference blog did not put Ohio in its top 25. But you're on my radar now, Bobcats. Perhaps next week.

In the second post each week each week, I will talk about two things: 1: this week's SB Nation BlogPoll. 2. Changes I made in my own BlogPoll either based on feedback from you, our loyal readers, or me just second-guessing myself.

The top-25 poll after the jump....

SB Nation BlogPoll College Football Rankings 2011

As you can see, Alabama was pretty dang close to a consensus No. 1. Our top six teams were the same as the consensus top six teams, just in a slightly different order. Alabama, USC, LSU, Oregon, Florida State and West Virginia is a pretty formidable top six after a week of play. I see a lot of voters weren't all that enamored with Oklahoma State, sticking them 15th despite earning one first-place vote

Be sure to check out that link in the previous paragraph for Andy Hutchins' extremely detailed post breaking down a ton of deviations. We did not earn the Jim Tressel's Numb Existence Award this week! So there's that.
