The day of the big game, some scuttlebutt surfaces to the limelight.
CBS has the poop:
"You guys [NIU] don't even deserve to be here," the Orange Bowl rep said to the NIU staffer. "We didn't even want you here."
I am guessing someone from the Orange Bowl had a couple of drinks in him and went on a rant about NIU being a flash in the pan? Perhaps they were put off by their lack of ticket sales.
