Miami RedHawks Name Mike Bath Interim Head Coach

Mike Bath, the man behind Zac Dysert's career, has been tasked with trying to salvage this season. - Jamie Sabau

Let the cleansing process begin! Mike Bath has been given the task of cleaning the house that Treadwell ruined for the rest of the season.

A few hours after the announcement was made that head coach Don Treadwell and offensive coordinator John Klacik had both been dismissed form their jobs, Miami RedHawks athletic director David Sayler announced that quarterbacks and wide receivers coach Mike Bath has been named the interim head coach for the remainder of the season.

Bath, a former Miami quarterback, posted a 23-10 record from 1998-2000, including a 10-1 season in 1998 in his first year as the team's starter. He finished as the RedHawks' career leader in passing yards (6,524) and touchdowns (49). His records have since been passed (you may have heard of Ben Roethlisberger and Zac Dysert).

A six-year veteran of the Miami coaching staff, Bath has worked as a grad assistant in 2004 and 2005, served as the 'Hawks tight ends coach from 2006 to 2008, and came back to Miami in 2011 and has coached receivers and quarterbacks since returning.

An interim offensive coordinator has not been named yet.
