Seven WMU Players Have Left the Team According To MLive.com

Seven players expected to return for Western Michigan's 2014 football season have officially left the team according to MLive.com's David Drew. Drew confirmed the news with WMU head coach P.J. Fleck Friday afternoon.

The names of the seven players haven't been released. The Broncos just concluded a 1-11 season under Fleck during his first season in Kalamazoo, Mich.. It was a rocky year full of plenty of lows.

But, even with the news that several players have chose to leave the program its not all bad. Fleck, a charismatic man, has hit the recruiting trail hard this season, raking in 28 verbal commitments for a 2014 class believed to have only 25 scholarships available. It's likely that some of those departures will free up scholarships for the commits, and with some expected to enroll the spring, putting them in the 2013 class, that means Fleck should have room to add a few more new pieces to his roster for next season.
