VIDEO: Rod Carey sings "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" at Wrigley Field

Making him the second most famous Carey to do so.

His coaching record may be 0-1, but Northern Illinois trying to become one of Chicago's beloved teams isn't a bad thing, and Rod Carey earned some street cred by throwing out the first pitch at Wrigley Field and leading the crowd in their ceremonial "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" rendition during the seventh inning stretch.

The verdict? Eh, the melody was neither a win nor a loss. Since he's a football coach he obviously has a voice that carries, and while some parts sounded right on tone, other times he needed the crowd to carry him.

What about the first pitch, you say?

Good form, and it was over the plate but rather high. Paul Bunyan might've swung at it. What would have made this tremendous is if they had an Orange Bowl representative booing him the entire time.
