For only the second time in since both teams created football programs, SUNY siblings Buffalo and Stony Brook are squaring off this weekend. The Bulls (0-2) are coming off of an embarrassing loss on the road to No. 23 Baylor. the Seawolves (1-0) are riding high after a 24-0 win over fellow FCS foe Rhode Island in Week 1.
The first time these two schools faced off was in 2011, when Buffalo rode Brandon Oliver's back to a 35-7 victory. But Stony Brook is no pushover and is coming off of a 10-3 record a season ago. The Seawolves feature a balanced offensive attack led by senior dual-threat quarterback Lyle Negron. After a less than stellar performance by the Bulls' defense a week ago, they will need a strong showing against the 'Wolves this week to restore faith.
The game kicks off Saturday at 3:30 p.m., and can be viewed on ESPN3.
