Five MAC Teams Projected to Go Bowling After Week 4

In SB Nation's updated Bowl Projections

The fine folks over at the Mothership have updated their bowl projections following the full slate of Week 4 action. With the MAC continuing to flounder heading into conference season, but five teams are projected to make it to bowls this year in the latest projections.

Obviously Northern Illinois is still the favorite to win the MAC and is projected to go to the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl. The other three projected teams come as no surprise with Toledo, Bowling Green, Ohio and Ball State are all projected to make bowls. Based off the projections it looks like Jason Kirk has BG winning the MAC East, but falling short in the MAC Championship game, with Ohio coming in at No. 3 in the conference and Toledo and Ball State coming in after that.

Interestingly Ball State is projected to square off with North Texas in the Beef o'Brady's Bowl in a rematch of their Week 3 game that saw the Mean Green come away with the win.

Here's the full slate of projected MAC bowl appearances (* marks MAC primary bowls):

Pinstripe Dec. 28, 2013 Toledo vs. Houston
