America is in the midst of yet another Snowpacalypse, with frigid temperatures and mounds of that frosty white stuff piling up around the nation, especially the mid-west.
Due to the weather, many college campuses have closed over the next few days, but not mighty bowling Green State University. No, those orange and brown Falcons aren't scared of a little cold weather, so they've left their campus open.
In a status update on the school's official Facebook page, BGSU the university told students that the main campus, in bowling Green, Ohio, is open today. This is despite current highs of just 14 degrees and a wind chill anywhere form -minus 10 to minus 15 degrees today throughout the day.
Understandably, those righteous, safety conscious-college kids are upset about having to trek through the wind and snow to go to class. They've taken to Facebook to vent their frustrations.
The typical "this isn't safe", "the school doesn't care about our safety", "corruption!" complaints are aplenty, but there are a few of the more interesting kind. Here are just some of our favorites:
"My best husky had to be taken to the vet this morning after getting mild frostbite on his paw. How am I expected to get to my next class without my lead dog? My dog sled team is operating at 75% efficiency, I'm concerned for their safety."
"I wanna thank BG for being dumb enough to post this status. The comments, most of which are valid and extremely entertaining (we should be closed), are keeping me quite entertained as I sit in a nearly empty lecture hall."
"Not all of us can jazzercise to class to keep warm. "
"Are the bars open today?"
"TWERKTEAM2014 #DREAM #BELIEVE"
" I'm calling Burt Macklin, this university is under FBI investigation!"
"Does this mean no punch and pie?"Yes, where is the punch and pie, Bowling Green?
