WHAT A HALF!
The top two seeds put on a show in the first half with WMU's David Brown and Toledo's Rian Pearson serving as the main stars. They each finished with 16 points, scoring buckets in just about every way imaginable.
The game started out all Toledo, before Brown got involved and shifted the momentum towards the Broncos. By the midway point in the half WMU held a seven point lead. Then the pace exploded. The team shot up and down the floor trading buckets and duking it out in the paint. At halftime Toledo's J.D. Weatherspoon threw down a vicious buzzer-beating dunk to cut WMU's lead to just two, 42-40.
