After taking a former NIU Huskie defensive lineman in the seventh round, the Dallas Cowboys signed another as an undrafted free agent. Former NIU defensive end Joe Windsor will join his former teammate Ken Bishop in Dallas.

The 6-foot, 241 pound edge rusher has been a key part of the Huskies defense for the past three seasons. In 2012, his first year as a starter, Windsor recorded seven sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss. This past season he earned third team All-MAC honors after totaling 37 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks.
