Central Michigan RB Saylor Lavallii suffers season-ending injury, to become student assistant

+

Due to an undisclosed injury, it looks likely that senior running back Saylor Lavallii will finish his football playing career as a Chippewa. The running back out of Mason, MI finishes with 323 touches for 1368 yards and 11 TD's. Known as being a power back at 5'9", 210 lbs., Lavallii was also key in pass protection over the last three seasons. Lavallii was a source of steadiness for the Chips, as many above him on the depth chart, such as Zurlon Tipton and Thomas Rawls, often found themselves injured or suspended. Saylor will finish out his schlarship as a student-coach under first year head coach John Bonamego. One thing is for sure, we're definitely gonna miss that mullet.
