Ron Coluzzi, former CMU kicker, to walk on at Iowa

+

The reason behind Ron Coluzzi's absence and sudden transfer just hours before the Quick Lane Bowl against Minnesota has been discovered. In an interview with CM Life, Coluzzi stated that "it was no secret" that he was dissatisfied at CMU, and that it was "a business decision" to move on. The interview went on to reveal that fan support and lack of national exposure also played a role in his departure. Coluzzi will compete for the placekicking and punting duties at Iowa, which graduated both starters at those positions last season. Colizzi was a decent punter this season, averaging 39.2 yards per punt, and is 12/17 in field goal attempts.
