With just 60 minutes left until kickoff of tonight's game between the Falcons and Golden Hurricane, we have a status update regarding availability of two Bowling Green players.
Backup wide receiver Jermal Hosley and backup safety Josh Pettus will both miss tonight's game for the Falcons. According to the Twitter feed of Falcons' beat writer John Wagner of the Toledo Blade (@jwagnerblade), Hosley is out with a knee injury, while Pettus will miss the game due to a violation of team rules.
While Hosley's absence does hurt the depth chart at receiver, the loss of Pettus is much more important, given that BGSU had already lost Darrell Hunter (injury) and DeVon McKoy (transfer) from the secondary. Going up against an offense like Tulsa's is difficult enough without losing a veteran presence in the defensive backfield.
