MACtion happens, even in baseball. Here's a nice grab by Bowling Green junior outfielder Andrew Kubuski, laying out to rob Central Michigan's Noel Santos of a bases loaded double. For some reason, the third base runner didn't tag to score properly and was doubled up. Defense matters, people. CMU still won this game 5-3, splitting the doubleheader with the Falcons.
This is Franko House of Concord Community (IN) high school, hoisting up a buzzer-beater like it's no big deal. The good news: he committed to play hoops for Ball State next year. The bad news: he can't play for them this year.
Right before halftime in the Kent State - Towson game, an oddity occurred. If you watch closely, the ball actually touches the returner, so Walker actually had a live ball at the 6 yard line and could have jogged in for a score. Yikes. Thank goodness the Flashes still won.
Ontario Sneed played running back for Central Michigan from 2005-2008. He scored a touchdown on this 96-yard play late in the the 2006 MAC Championship Game to seal the 31-10 victory. The Morning Sun is reporting that Sneed has passed away. An unconfirmed message board report says it was from heart complications. He was 25 years old. That's far too young. Our hearts go out to his friends and family.
In honor of DJ advancing, I see your ridiculous Paul Revere and raise you THIS!
FINAL: OHIO 62, South Florida 56. Stan Heath is a MAC mole.
FINAL: (13) OHIO 65, (4) Michigan 60.
Posting has been light to non-existent. I'm recovering from food poisoning and could sure use a pack of five men to carry me from place to place. Hopefully we'll return to full strength by tomorrow night.
This is BG's consecutive field goal record-holder Torian Oglesby just dunking a lot. That is all. (via FalconAthletics)
