2014 NFL Roster Cuts Tracker

It's the most stressful time of the year for many NFL prospects. Will your favorite #MACtion star make the cut?

No Lynch for 6 in Chicago

In a move that is sure to make Bears fans and fans of the #MACtion sad, former NIU QB and Heisman finalist Jordan Lynch, converted to running back in training camp, was left off the 53-man roster before the 4 p.m. Saturday deadline. It seems that he will be waived by the Bears, which means a possibility of being picked up by them for their practice squad if he clears, or by another team for their 53-man or practice squad.

Bring your #27 jerseys out, CMU fans...

Antonio Brown, former Central Michigan Chippewa and current Pittsburgh Steeler, hinted via Twitter that he could be back in Mt. Pleasant for the Battle of the Victory Cannon against hated rival Western Michigan. If he does drop by the pleasant mount of Mount Pleasant, expect a wild and wacky Western Weekend to get even more hectic.

Former Chippewas Shamari Benton and Darren Keyton Are Still Detroit Lions After Scheduled Roster Cuts

The dream is still alive for both LB Shamari Benton and OG Darren Keyton, as the Detroit Lions preempt the Tuesday deadline to reduce their roster numbers to 75 players. Both players went undrafted in their respective drafts, with Benton signing in Detroit just last week and Keyton having gone through Lions training camp once before last year. The final round of cuts to 53 players will occur on August 30th at 4 p.m. Eastern.

Former Central Michigan QB Dan LeFevour On IR For CFL's Hamilton TigerCats

Dan LeFevour, who was already replacing injured Zach Collaros, suffered a torn ACL in a loss to the Calgary Stampeders. As a starter this season, he had 1,984 yards of total offense and seven touchdowns. The former Chicago Bears sixth-round draft pick is expected to undergo surgery soon.

49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh Praises Former NIU DB Jimmie Ward During Press Conference

After a scrimmage with the Baltimore Ravens, 49ers HC Jim Harbaugh had nothing but compliments for 1st-round draft pick Jimmie Ward, calling him a first-class competitor, and saying Ward is "coming along" in terms of his development. Ward is currently looking to earn a starting spot in a loaded 49ers defense.

Watch Chandler Harnish Bean Pam Oliver In The Face With A Tight Spiral

Chandler Harnish was an electrifying quarterback during his time in DeKalb. Known for his cannon arm, and a decent set of wheels, he was one of the best all-around quarterbacks the MAC has ever seen. Since he left DeKalb though, not much has been seen or heard of the now Colts backup quarterback. Well, at least we know all that time carrying a clipboard hasn't impacted his throwing ability.

Where are they now: Former MAC Players in the CFL

Chippewas pro baseball consists of a bearded man and a ton of recent prospects trying to follow them into the big leagues, many of them with the Detroit Tigers.

The Falcons feature two certain big leaguers, but beyond that there aren't really any players close to becoming the third.

MAC baseball in the pros: Akron

The Zips have only put three former players in the major leagues, and none since 2004.

Fantasy NFL, MAC Edition: Week 4

When the Pittsburgh Steelers are on a bye week, no fantasy NFL team made of MAC players has much of a chance.
