Ball State 78, Grambling 51

Stay connected for news and updates

Starting the season with a Division I blowout win is always a good portent on a team shrouded with uncertainty, even if Grambling only won four games last year.

BSU led for the final 36 minutes of the game and for double-digits for virtually all of the second half. Jesse Berry led all Cardinals scorers with 17 points. The majestically-named Majok Majok had a double-double (of course he did): 11 points, 12 rebounds. Other double-figure scorers: Marcus Posley added 12 while Chris Bond and Zach Fields each provided 10 points.
