It's settled. EMU just needs to host more tournaments and their record will swell to new heights. Three wins in three days in their Ice Man Classic put the Eagles at 4-1, capped off by this nice little Sunday victory against the Broncs of UTPA. That followed a win over IPFW. They're just so good against acronyms.
In a slow pace like this game, textbook of a Rob Murphy-coached EMU squad, having a 20 percent better offensive rebounding margin (50 percent!) is a huge thing. Leading the way was Daylen Harrison, who double-doubled his way to 16 points on 11 shots and 12 rebounds, five offensive. DaShonte Riley hauled in 11 rebounds and also scored eight. Glenn Bryant helped out with 11 points.
EMU's next game will be against Madonna University on Saturday. Leftover cupcakes, anyone?
