So, Bucknell is darn good this year. Probably not Kent State's best game, but it may have made little difference.
The Flashes battled back well in the first half, erasing a double-digit deficit to take the lead briefly and be just down a point at halftime. But in the second half, KSU was profoundly outrebounded 18-8, Kent State grabbed just two offensive boards and the Bison shot nearly 60 percent.
Chris Evans, a scorching ball of fire this season (his season low was 14 points) got next to nothing: 2-for-12 shooting, no free throws and a total of five points and four rebounds. Devereaux Manley led the way with 15 points and Kris Brewer netted 10, both efficiently.
Now at 5-4, Kent State next plays Sunday at Xavier.
