Ball State 62, Norfolk State 61

Stay connected for news and updates

How this for an insane second half: Norfolk State went on a 12-0 run in a 4:14 span to tie it, then went on to lead by five. Ball State fought back and the lead changed three times in the final minute. After the Spartans sank two free throws with 0:05 left to give them a one-point lead, per the BSU Athletics account, Jesse Berry dribbled the length of the court, was tag-teamed, but still found a cutting Majok Majok in the key who dunked home the winning basket as time expired. How often do you see a buzzer-beating dunk?

Berry had a great game offensively, scoring 21 points (5-for-7 from threes) and Jauwan Scaife helped out with 18 points, hitting 5-of-8 threes.

Phew. I think BSU is ready for MACsketball. They'll take a 6-6 OOC record and head to Eastern Michigan on Wednesday.
