D.J. Cooper and Reggie Keely combined for 40 points and shot over 50 percent from the field.
It was a certain possibility that OHIO would storm out of the gates in MAC play and put a sacrificial lamb into the kiln to show everyone that, despite their rough nonconference, they were still the ones to mess with. And that's basically what happened. Buffalo has now been sacrificed to ye MAC gods, may it be an acceptable sacrifice.
The Bobcats were already up big at halftime, and although tonight proved leads like that aren't always sustained, the way OHIO was shooting there was no rallying from that. And yes, turnovers hurt Buffalo again, in the manner that they typically sting.
Top players:
DJ Cooper, OHIO: 23 minutes, 21 points (7-9, 5-6 3PT, 2-2 FT), 7 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, 2 TO
Reggie Keely, OHIO: 23 minutes, 19 points (6-10, 7-10 FT), 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, 1 TO
Javon McCrea, Buffalo: 28 minutes, 13 points (6-15, 1-2 FT), 6 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 assists, 1 steal, 3 TO
Will Regan, Buffalo: 27 points, 11 points (4-8, 1-3 3PT, 2-4 FT), 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 3 TO
OHIO: You have shot 1,589 pounds of Buffalo meat but can only carry 200 back to the wagon.
