WMU-Toledo 3rd Quarter Recap: Toledo opens it back up

Stay connected for news and updates

Welp, that didn't last long. Despite a crazy safety to start the 2nd half, Toledo came back to grab the reigns and take a 34-17 lead heading into the 4th. David Fluellen is having a career day with 13 carries for 158 yds and 3 TDs (12.2 yds/rush), and the Toledo defense has intercepted Tyler VanTubbergen 3 times.

After the safety, where Macon ran into the endzone after fielding a punt at the 1, Jordan Haden picked TVT off and returned it to the house to extend the lead to 27-9. After a tip drill INT, Fluellen rushed his way into the endzone from 22 yds out to extend it to 34-9.

Brian Fields did score on a 48 yd rush, and the Broncos got the 2 to pull within 17, but it'll take a big comeback to make this a game.
