Hustle Belt Awards Standings: Week 6

The MACtion is in full force and the awards watch lists are starting to get jumbled up as we see who the primetime performers are in the conference.

Roethlisberger Golden Arm Award

1. Keith Wenning (Ball State) - Wenning is averaging 332.7 yards per game which is over 100 yards per game more than the second best passer in the conference.

2. Jordan Lynch (Northern Illinois) - Lynch is fourth in the conference with 1,113 yards on the season but first with 12 touchdown passes.

3. Matt Johnson (Bowling Green) - Johnson leads the conference in passer efficiency and has 1,395 yards and 9 touchdowns.

4. Tyler Tettleton (Ohio) - Tettleton continues to be near perfect with eight touchdowns and only three interceptions.

5. Colin Reardon (Kent State) - Reardon reached the 1,000-yard club this weekend and also has eight touchdowns.

Tait Trophy

1. David Fluellen (Toledo) - 846 yards and nine touchdowns from the Rockets' RB, who is second in the nation in rushing.

2. Travis Greene (Bowling Green) - Greene's three TDs are worrisome but his 118.5  yards per game are impressive. He's also fifth in the country in rushing.

3. Cameron Stingily (Northern Illinois) - Stingily ran for 200+ yards, won MAC West Offensive Player of the Week, celebrated a birthday and got arrested. How was your weekend?

4. Jahwan Edwards (Ball State) - Finally healthy, Edwards has passed up Horactio Banks as Ball's top rusher. Oh, by the way, he also has 10 rushing touchdowns, tops in the country.

5. Saylor Lavalli (Central Michigan) - Lavalli continues a strong campaign in relief of the injured Zurlon Tipton, rushing for 521 yards in six games.

Moss-Jennings Trophy

1. Willie Snead (Ball State) - Benefactor numero uno for Keith Wenning's passing skills, Snead has 715 yards and five scores and is currently second in the country in receiving yards.

2. Alex Neutz (Buffalo) - Neutz has five touchdowns on 31 receptions for 508 yards.

3. Titus Davis (Central Michigan) - Davis is averaging 17.9 yards per reception with four scores on the season...all without a real quarterback.

4. Jordan Williams (Ball State) - If Snead is No. 1 in receiving yards, who is No. 2?... Oh, another Cardinal... It's Williams, who has 520 yards and four touchdowns on the year.

5. Bernard Reedy (Toledo) - Reedy still leads the MAC in receptions with 43. He also has 413 yards and two TDs this year.

Eric Fisher Award

1. Tyler Loos (Northern Illinois) - Still only three sacks on Jordan Lynch.

2. Zac Kerin (Toledo) - Toledo has been on a steady grind on offense and it all starts with Kerin.

3. Matthew Page (Ball State) - It's time to show love to Ball State who has made Wenning a prolific passer and opened holes for Banks and Edwards.

4. Jared Volk (Northern Illinois) - Volk represents NIU's run game, which has also been stellar.

5. Mike Lucas (Ohio) - Lucas has played all three positions on the O-line for the 'Cats and they have succeeded fairly well.

Bronze Babin

1.  Jayrone Elliott (Toledo) - Started from the Bottom. Elliott jumps to the top for his season so far that includes 35 tackles, five sacks and seven tackles for loss.

2. Perez Ford (Northern Illinois) - Ford is one down from the lead in sacks with four, all of which were solo take downs.

3.C.J. James (Akron) - James has six tackles for loss and four sacks for the Zips on the year.

4. Roosevelt Nix (Kent State) - Nix's Flashes got trounced on the ground by Stingily and NIU, but he still leads D-Linemen with 1.17 tackles for loss per game.

5. Ty Branz (Ohio) - Branz's multi-sack game against Akron gives him four on the year and puts him on our watch list.

Lombardi Award

1. Justin Cherocci (Central Michigan) - Cherocci and Benton have really been running things in the middle of the Chippewa's defense.

2. Khalil Mack (Buffalo) - Mack is averaging a sack per game and has 6.5 tackles for loss on the season.

3. Kent Kern (Miami) - Kern is second in the MAC averaging 10 tackles per game. He and Cherocci are the only two averaging double digits.

4. Shamari Benton (Central Michigan) - Benton and Cherocci have really been running things in the middle of the Chippewa's defense.

5. Justin March (Akron) - March, who is in fact a linebacker not a defensive back, has three interceptions and a touchdown this year.

Bayless Award

1. Jimmie Ward (Northern Illinois) - Ward leads the conference with four picks. Even has a touchdown. Whaddayaknow.

2. Najjah Johnson (Buffalo) - Johnson has eight pass break ups and a pick six on the season.

3. Dayonne Nunley (Miami) - Nunley improves his stock agains after increasing his passes defended to nine this year.

4. Dechane Durante (Northern Illinois) - The turnover machine. Three picks. Two forced fumbles.

5. Devin Bass (Ohio) - Bass got back into action this weekend and retains the lead in the conference in pass break ups with two per game.

Zinc Zastudil

1. Zac Murphy (Miami) - Murphy's Law: What goes to the RedHawks offense, must be punted away.

2. Matthew Sims (Northern Illinois) - 11 points per game. Bang.

3. Tommylee Lewis (Northern Illinois) - Leads the conference in average per return and has a 99 yard KORTD to his name.

4. Scott Secor (Ball State) - Second in the MAC in scoring with 9.3 points per game.

5. Dri Archer (Kent) - His only kick return of the season went 100 yards and finished in a score. Welcome back kid.

Rowe Award

1. Jimmie Ward (Northern Illinois)

2. Justin Cherocci (Central Michigan)

3. Khalil Mack (Buffalo)

4. Jayrone Elliott (Toledo)
