With the full slate of voters back this week, things have returned to normal up top. Fresno State once again takes sole ownership of the No. 1 spot, with one more vote than No. 2 Northern Illinois.
Even with NIU's 21-point win over Ball State, and Fresno State on a bye-week, the Huskies were unable to pass the Bulldogs.
Speaking of Ball State, the Cardinals only dropped one place after their 48-27 loss to NIU last Wednesday. ECU moves up two spots to No. 3 after a 64-13 beat down of UAB. Boise State bounced back up to No. 5 a week after slipping two spots to No. 7 following a bye.
Once again the No. 6 ranked team from the previous week has dropped from the polls entirely, as Buffalo falls out after losing to now No. 7 Toledo on Tuesday. The only team to buck this trend was East Carolina which came in at No. 6 in Week 11, but managed to move up a spot to No. 5 a week ago. BYU moves into No. 6 this week, and has a tough road test against Notre Dame this Saturday, so time will tell if we have another No. 6 drop.
Toledo (7), Louisiana Lafayette (8), North Texas (9) and Bowling Green (10) round out the Top 10. The Falcons were unranked a week ago, and are in the poll for the first time since they suffered the No. 6 curse in Week 9.
Here's a breakdown of the full poll.
