How To Watch Central Michigan Vs. Ball State: Gametime, TV, Streaming, Radio

Joe Robbins

The second place Ball State Cardinals hope to keep pace with the MAC West leading Northern Illinois Huskies by avoiding an upset by the pesky Central Michigan Chippewas Wednesday night. Here's how to watch.

By The Numbers:

Ball State enters the contest with an impressive 8-1 record and is a perfect 5-0 in the MAC. Central Michigan has disappointed so far and is 3-5 and 2-2 in the MAC. The Ball State defense has allowed only 212 points and leads the nation in fumbles recovered with 13 and the NCAA in takeaways with 23.

Ball State has a huge advantage in offense, averaging 39.4 points per game, whereas Central Michigan is averaging an anemic `18.9 points per game. Ball State also holds a huge advantage in total yards per game with 467.6 versus 340 for CMU. The programs have met 45 times and each team has a 22-22-1 record.

Central Michigan-

Adam Fenton - CMU's senior fullback is Pure Michigan being powered by a turbocharged 15 litre Detroit Diesel. Fenton is definitely the most entertaining Chippewa to watch on the CMU offensive squad. Fenton explosions can happen at any time as he will viciously pancake an opposing linebacker or defensive back. Fenton offers a clear window into what the CMU offense is up to. Wherever Fenton runs, running back Saylor Lavallii will likely be a step behind him. If Fenton clears a running lane, Lavallii will streak to the sideline in hopes of a large gain. If Fenton comes out of the game, the Chippewas probably will be passing.

Titus Davis - There are three keys to the game for Central Michigan. Number 1, get the ball to Titus Davis. Next, get the ball to Titus Davis. Finally, get the ball to Titus Davis. The most points scored by CMU in one game this year is 26. That total may have to be doubled for the Chippewas to have any chance against Ball State. Davis is a threat to score any time he touches the ball. He is going to have to score early and often against the Cardinals.

Ball State-

Keith Wenning - The senior quarterback is the ace of aces among MAC passers. Wenning has 23 touchdowns so far and is averaging over 300 yards passing per game. This does not bode well for a porous Central Michigan defense. Let the aerial bombardment begin!

Ben Ingle - Ball State's team leader in tackles with 74. He leads the world in annoying and frustrating offenses. It is worth the price of admission just to watch Ingle patrol the defensive side of the line of scrimmage. Ingle is that angry yellow jacket that can't be swatted and won't go away.
