Ball State picked up in the second quarter where they left off in the first, running their lead against Central Michigan to 31-3 at halftime.
Cardinals quarterback Keith Wenning continued his aerial assault, completing 13 of 19 passes for 186 yards and 3 TDs. Wenning has distributed the ball efficiently, hooking up with five different receivers. Willie Snead, Jamill Smith, and Jordan Williams each tallied a touchdown. Horactio Banks leads all rushers with 108 yards on 7 carries.
Central Michigan has been unable to much going on offense. Cooper Rush has completed 13 of 21 passes for 164 yards and been picked off once. The rushing game has been nonexistent. The Chippewas have run the ball for just 29 yards on 15 carries.
Ball State is winning the turnover battle. The Chips have turned the ball over three times while the Cardinals have played mistake free football. Ball State has yet to punt in the game.
