After a record-setting victory at home (one of the best fields in college football, I might add) last week, Eastern Michigan (2-4, 1-1 MAC West) travels to Foxborough to take on UMass as both teams look to build off much needed wins.
The Eagles were led by the performance of Reggie Bell, who rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns and threw for 144 yards and another touchdown, tying a school record four touchdowns. He also became the first player in school history to rush for two 70-plus yard touchdowns in a game, and the first EMU quarterback to rush for over 200 yards. Oh, did I mention he entered the game in the final few minutes of the first half? Pretty impressive for a team that, until last week, hadn't exactly found their groove on offense, to put it lightly.
The Minutemen are also fresh off a big win, snapping a 12-game losing streak and beating Kent State 40-17 on the road. UMass (1-6, 1-2 MAC East) will look for another big game from running back Lorenzo Woodley, who rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown against the Flashes.
This games marks the first meeting between the two teams.
