After a 1-4 start that includes losses to Indiana State and Army, Ball State will be making changes under center. In all five games this year the BSU offense has been led by first year starter Ozzie Mann, but effective Tuesday morning, according to head coach Pete Lembo's weekly depth chart, the Cards are making a change at quarterback before they dive into the heart of MAC play. BSU will be replacing Mann with freshman Jack Milas.
Milas attended Rolling Meadows High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois, which is a suburb of Chicago. He was a three star recruit according to ESPN, who also ranked him as the 45th best QB in the nation in the 2013 recruiting class. On the varsity squad for three years, Milas compiled a 15-7 overall record with Rolling Meadows, which included a 7-3 record in his senior season.
Milas will be facing a decent defense in Western Michigan, which is riding high after giving up just 13 points in regulation to one of the MAC's best offenses in Toledo. The Bronco defense has had their low moments though, giving up 43 at Purdue and 33 in the Kibbie Dome to Idaho.
