The Zips played with just seven women on the road, and that was all they needed. It was close until the final five minutes, really.

Rachel Tecca led the way with a huge night: 26 points on 15 shots, 12 rebounds, three steals and two blocks. (That put her over the 1,000-point mark for her career.) Sina King also double-doubled with 10 points and 13 boards. Kacie Cassell scored 13 points to go with nine assists and Taylor Ruper shot 4-for-11 from three to end up with 12 points. Anita Brown chipped in with 10 points ... and so on.

Akron remains perfect at 2-0 and will play host to Bryant on Friday evening.
