The right way to begin the season, I'd say. Not unlike Akron, the Lady Bobcats played only seven women but they slugged this one out despite a sloppy game on both sides (44 combined turnovers). Shavon Robinson was the high Ohio scorer with 15 points and seven rebounds. Mariah Byard netted 13 points, helped out by 3-for-7 shooting threes, and Tina Fisher added 10 points and nine rebounds before fouling out.
1-0 Ohio will go to Minnesota on Saturday.
