Western Kentucky 59, Kent State 53

A wild game of runs resulted in WKU building a 16-point lead in the first half, Kent State rallying to cut the lead to one at half, then the Hilltoppers keeping a small uncomfortable lead to the very end. Diamon Beckford had 17 points and 11 rebounds for Kent State, and Tamzin Barroilhet helped out with 15 points, six rebounds and three steals.

Western Kentucky is now 7-2, so Kent State may not be putting up any winning streaks but they are clearly playing better. The Flashes' schedule gets a bit easier, starting with next Tuesday when they take a trip to Saint Bonaventure.
