This was not a pretty game on either side: Toledo shot only 34 percent from the floor but Evansville only made 28 percent of theirs. UT created just enough turnovers and worked the offensive glass to keep the Aces at bay. Naama Shafir was her vintage self with 12 points and 10 assists and Inma Zanoguera added 12 points as well. Lots of other contributors added points here and there, and resultantly UT won the first match of their Toledo Invite tournament.
They'll play Prairie View A&M tomorrow, who upset Hampton prior to this game.
