Ah, the close ones always sting. This time it was a layup in the waning seconds by the Jackrabbits. EMU had a shot at the end to take the lead back on the buzzer but they missed the layup. If it's not one thing, it's another with this team lately.

Miranda Tate led all scorers with 24 points on 16 shots. Taylor Bird paced the offense with three points, six assists, six rebounds and three steals. On the whole they battled turnover issues, spilling it over 27 times, but SDSU had 21 of their own, so it was messy all around.

There's obviously no need to panic with MAC play yet to begin, but they've lost seven straight after winning their opening game. And next Tuesday's a big one: they host Michigan.
