Ball State played a close one against Detroit in their last game, and had a shot at tying the game with the final basket, but NKU led for most of the game and earned this surprising win. The six-woman rotation did decently on defense, stealing the ball 12 times, but otherwise was beat on the boards. Shanee' Jackson led the Cardinals with 18 points and seven rebounds, and Brittany Carter finished with 13 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Nathalie Fontaine scored 15 points.
Ball State is now 3-7 and travels to Illinois State next Sunday.
