The UMass Minutemen will have a national audience taking in their season-opening game against the Wisconsin Badgers as it will be one of the featured games on the Big Ten Network. However, if you don't get the conference's cash cow on your cable package, there are other ways you can take in the #MACtion.
Radio listeners in Massachusetts have several options depending on where they are located. Western Mass. listeners can tune into WEEI FM 105.5, Central Mass. fans -- the land of Rob Blanchflower -- are held to the AM dial on WVEI 1440, and the fans inside Interstate-495 can pick it up on WATD 95.9 FM.
On that new-fangled TV box, the game will be on the Big Ten Network starting at 12:00 pm. Here is where you can find out what channel BTN is for you (h/t to Dan Malone of MassLive for that). Those of you who can't get to a TV can get the network's mobile app, "BTN2Go" on both Apple and Android devices. BTN2Go is also available on the computers for desktop streaming.
CBSSports also offers a GameTracker to follow live stats.
Thats all you need to know. Those of you in Massachusetts or B1G territory might be able to find it at your local watering hole, as well.
Enjoy the game and be sure to stay plugged into our Storystream for all things UMass/Wisconsin.
