MAC Basketball Review: Study Break

Akron 87, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 64 — C'mon, young men, don't you have finals this week? What're ya doin' beating up on poor defenseless SWACers? Then again some people actually get done Thursday and then have nothing left to do. I was one of those who enjoyed staying at the dorms for as long as possible before coming home from the holidays, because jeez those things are expensive and who wants to get as little money out of those cramped rooms as possible?

Plus if you left early for home you might miss this particular game, which for the Akronites was nothing but a joy to see them blow out another team. The Zips quickly built a large lead and never looked back, led by Zeke Marshall who finished with 21 points, six rebounds and seven blocks. Chauncey Gililiam broke out of his shell and added 17 points, his best in a Zips uniform. A nice break for UA from finals/coaching search madness.
