There's no consolation after the consolation. It's going to be a rocky road from here on out. Winner plays at Colorado, a 1-seed in the National Invitational Tournament, and that's quite a long road. More of a plane ride, really. No road is involved in that one.

Fairfield already took one trip to the mountains, knocking off Colorado State, but it's not travel turnaround the Flashes had by going to San Francisco and stealing a win at St. Mary's. Can they do it again? Logic says no — Fairfield is a few points better, although who'd they beat? Iona at home. St. Peter's twice. That's about it, other than, y'know, winning the MAAC regular season title.

A quick glance at the Stags: Holy jeez, they're a monster on defense. Opposing teams score 57.9 points, shoot 39.7% from the field and commit 16.1 turnovers a game. Unreal. They're nothing to write home on the offensive side, and they're somewhere between Toledoesque and Bowling Greeny on 3-pointers (30.7%). First to 60 wins.

Count nobody out, and put your poker chips all in.
