MAC Football Upsets Rated By Difficulty Of NES Video Game Feats

Fans of BCS teams see the MAC and glean three truths:

1. In November they provide college football on the weekends
2. They're always good for an upset or two, possibly on a ranked team with BCS conference championship hopes.
3. "Hey, there's that guy that transferred."

And lo, that second item happened last year as well. Toledo over Purdue, Temple over UConn (of the Fiesta Bowl UConns!) and NIU over Minnesota were the MAC-on-BCS wins of record.

I count a total of 38 nonconference games against FBS competition. Between potential upsets are are all going to be playing NES games. This is a rule which should not be questioned. And in the progression of NES game playing, it's possible that you may undertake a challenge which goes beyond the linear structure of the plot.

This is not unlike a MAC team playing in front of 80,000 fans somewhere. You're probably going to fail several times until you get really good at it. The difference is there is no six-figure payout. Which is why I'm doing this instead of being a professional Dragon Warrior player. Such will be the dream.
