After much consideration, this week's award goes to the conference's current rising star, Bernard Pierce. He rolled over, under and through those absolutely atrocious Maryland Terps (and their uniforms were pretty bad too) to the tune of 32 carries for 149 yards and five touchdowns.
A three-way tie at runner up this week, between (damn near three-time POTW) Keith Wenning's impressive performance, completing 80 percent of his passes (24-30) for 324 yards and three scores in Ball State's pounding of Army at home; Western Michigan's near success at knocking off 24th-ranked Illinois; and Eric Page's 13 catches for 158 yards and 279 all-purpose yards in what should have been a winning effort for Toledo.
Follow after the jump for the remainder of this week's long list of unsuccessful candidates.
Chandler Harnish (NIU) - 18 of 21 for 187 and 2 TD, 13 carries for 118 yards and 1 TDAnthon Samuel (BGSU) - 16 carries, 121 yards, 1 TD
Nick Harwell (MIA) - 8 catches 149 yards
Jawaun Chisolm (AKR) - 27 carries for 188 yards, 1 TD
Keith Sconiers (AKR) - 8 catches, 154 yards, 2 TD
Willie Snead (BALL) - 10 catches for 180 yards, 1 TD
Jordan White (WMU) - 14 catches for 132 yards and 1 TD
