A few weeks ago I lamented that while Alex Gillett is no longer the starting quarterback, he is the starting holder. So EMU called in the fake field goal and Gillett ran it in for a touchdown. Good things come to those who wait. Gillett also has two catches for 12 yards, so he's still doing that for them. Eastern scored 19 seconds into the game by route of a Tyler Benz to Tyreese Russell pass.
CMU had all the points in the second quarter, with Ryan Radcliff finding Andrew Flory in the end zone and David Harman knocking down a 23-yard field goal. Flory has four catches for 45 yards.
