Central Michigan will be without a Zeigler this upcoming season.
Trey Zeigler announced on his twitter today that he will be transferring to The University of Pittsburgh.
"Just committed to the University of Pittsburgh! #hail2pitt" was tweeted about an hour ago by the former Central Michigan star.
The move comes after CMU fired his farther, Ernie Zeigler, from the men's basketball head coaching position a couple weeks ago.
Trey Zeigler was the undisputed star of the program. He averaged 15.8 points a game ( four more points than anyone else), was the rebounding leader and came in second in blocks. Zeigler was a highly touted prospect out of high school that many thought would play at a major college right out of high school. Instead, he elected to play for his father.
Now Central's new head man, Keno Davis, will try to put the pieces together. Without a doubt, he has inherited a rebuilding project. However, realistically he is not too far behind many other MAC West teams. The entire division is still looking for a way to break into true relevancy in the Mid-American Conference.
