Ball State brings back recently-fired Michigan baseball coach Rich Maloney

2

Well, you don't see this often, but you oughta! After leading Ball State to seven consecutive winning seasons from 1996-2002, then going to Michigan and succeeding there too, Rich Maloney was re-named the head coach of Ball State. Maloney was fired from Michigan for back-to-back disappointing years of finishing 10th in the Big Ten. He had a 256-144 record at Ball State and coached three former first round MLB draft picks, including No. 1 overall selection Bryan Bullington. Not sure what happened at Michigan, but I'm sure BSU will welcome him back into a suddenly higher-profile MAC.
