Even though Western Michigan went 4-8 last season, 2-6 in the conference, but still has already managed to get two players inside the top 40 in our power rankings.

Their second player is junior corner Donald Celiscar.

Celiscar, from Winter Haven, Florida, had himself a game against Toledo last season. He came through with 12 tackles and a safety. Also against Ball State he had seven tackles and two blocked punts. These two big games, against two of the top teams in the MAC, skyrocketed Celiscar in our rankings.

Overall, he ranked in two statistical categories in the conference. He was tied for 30th in tackles. That is an achievement. He also finished second in the famous "passes defended" statistic with 1.33. He recorded 14 breakups and two interceptions in 12 games last season.

Celiscar has been in the lineup for Western since he was a freshman, and has been touted as one of the premier backs in the league.

I recommend that you go to his Western Michigan webpage, as there are a lot of cool videos and photos of him. He was also the subject last year of an "Inside the Lines" with the Western Michigan new media team.
